For whatever reason when Bethesda released Nuka World, and Fallout 4 in general, I think they kind of mixed up, or forgot what the "Nuka grenade" actually is from the previous games. Anybody who has played Fallout 3, and even New Vegas knows Nuka-grenades were insanely powerful grenades crafted with Nuka Cola Quantum (or Quartz in New Vegas I didn't believe it till I checked the wiki, but the quantum only comes in Lonesome Road.
